GPs from across Hampshire attended an excellent day of seminars, discussion and patient examination at our recent FREE GP Educational Seminar ‘The Knee Patient in Primary Care’.
Presented by Consultant Knee Surgeon, Mr Philip Chapman-Sheath and Dan Young, Physiotherapist to Hampshire Cricket Team and Clinical Lead at HampshireWellbeingCentre, the GPs heard lectures on a wide variety of knee topics relevant to their everyday practice, and were also able to try out a selection of knee braces, thanks to Simon Dashwood of mediUK, the event sponsors.
Several patients kindly attended throughout the day to share their experiences of different knee treatments, and answer questions from the GPs.
“It was an excellent event. The informal format was extremely good and it was helpful to have patients present too, especially for recovery advice. One of the best CPD events this year.”
Dr Samantha Davies, Ladies Walk Practice, Southampton
“Really useful and well prepared day on paediatric and adult knee problems. Very high standard of speakers with talks focused very effectively for GPs with some practical demonstrations included. Would highly recommend.”
Richard Willis, GP Salisbury and Southampton
